Student Union
Students belonging to the EARA are organized as the EARA Student Union. The main aim is to connect students from various countries in Europe and the whole world, to circulate information and to offer a basis for mutual exchange of ideas and discussion.

The Student Union represents a network that can be joined at very little cost and one that allows collaboration across countries without the need to travel. This is done primarily via Student Union web-page. This site enables students to make contact with many other students who may work in the same field; to find students who have already finished their PhD and who can be contacted for advice; as well as providing access to senior scientists who have volunteered to answer questions in the area of their expertise. But not all contact is virtual: EARA students meet at conferences, organize symposia together (on many conferences a presentation can only be given if an entire symposium is submitted – often a problem for juniors who lack contact to other researchers in the field), and may have the opportunity to take part in EARA summer schools. As a member of the Student Union you also get news and information by email regarding university positions, conferences, or opportunities for funding your own projects.
