The EARA Mid-Career Award was introduced in 2025 by the EARA Council to recognize outstanding scholarly contributions and sustained excellence in research on adolescence.
The Mid-Career Award will be assigned biennially by EARA, starting from 2026, to an academic who, at the midpoint of their career, has demonstrated a strong and consistent research program through influential empirical and/or theoretical publications in international journals or edited volumes, and has made significant contributions to the advancement of scientific understanding in the field of adolescence and adolescent development. At the EARA conference, the awarded scholar will be given the opportunity to present his or her research program, key contributions, and future directions in the field.
Eligible mid-career scholars are those who completed their doctoral degree between 10 and 20 years prior to the nomination year, and who have established an independent research trajectory with demonstrable impact on the field.
